Satin fabric is characterized by a soft, lustrous surface on one side, with a pale surface on the other side. This is a result of the satin weaving technique, and there are many variations on what defines a satin weave. Satin feels soft and very luxurious. The fabric doesn’t wrinkle as easily as other fabrics, and thicker satins are less prone to wrinkles. We use mainly two types of satin for our products namely plain satin and duchess satin.

Duchess satin is a heavy fabric. It’s stiffer and has less luster than standard satin. It is durable since satin uses long filament fibers which are woven in a very taut fashion. The resulting material is stronger than many plain weave fabrics.

 DTY BRUSHED 

 DTY Brushed fabric is a very soft and stretchy fabric. Made from drawn twisted yarn - Brushed DTY knit fabric is fuzzy, soft, and brushed on both sides to enhance these features. Brushed DTY fabric is an alternative to cotton; being more affordable, insulating, and durable. We love using this material for our products because it creates an elegant touch to your hairstyle.  

RAYON VOILE

 This 100% rayon voile is gorgeous. Rayon lends a lustrous sheen and a very soft, smooth hand. The voile weave is loose, somewhat sheer, and drapes just wonderfully. We love this material because of its light-weight and softness.  

BON BON

Bon Bon is a very smooth synthetic fabric made out of 100% polyester Spandex. It is a high quality stretch and light-weight fabric. We love this material because it has bright colors and it keeps its shape. No need for ironing.

SCUBA

A double knit fabric that is normally a polyester that has been mixed with Lycra or Spandex. It has a very smooth texture and a fine gauge thread. Scuba fabric is very springy. We love this fabric because it keeps its shape, it is super smooth, and provides extra support. It also provides quick-drying, thermal, and wrinkle-free properties.

GEORGETTE

Georgette is a light, flowy fabric that is fairly breathable. However the Georgette that is made with synthetic fibers - is less breathable than those made with silk. Georgette is known for its signature puckered appearance, which is a result of the tightly-twisted yarns used in the weave. We love this fabric for our scrunchies because of its light-weight feel.

CHIFFON

Chiffon is a lightweight, highly breathable fabric that is known for its sheer, floating, and shimmery nature, almost like tissue paper and often used in evening wear, bridal, lingerie, and accessories. Chiffon-fabric has a sheer, transparent appearance, and when held under a magnifying glass, it looks like a fine net or mesh. 

POLYESTER

Polyester fabric is a synthetic woven material known for being durable and relatively inexpensive to produce. Polyester fibers are incredibly strong, meaning they don’t tear, stretch, or pill easily like cotton and other natural fibers. Polyester fibers resist liquid droplets, meaning that the fabric will wick away moisture rather than soak it up. Polyester is wrinkle-resistant and will better hold its shape, drape, and rigidity. Polyester’s wrinkle-resistance made it especially popular in the 1970s as an alternative to clothing that required consistent washing and ironing to avoid wrinkling.
